ARI Certified Systems

Mike has been busy building out the database for complete ARI Certified systems. The benefit of an ARI System is that you have the assurance of a 3rd party you are getting the efficiency you bought. The ARI Number is even used on many, including federal, rebate programs.

Goodman and Amana have literally thousands of ARI certified systems, so we’ve been sorting through them to make it easier for you the consumer. This wasn’t an option open to us when we had the Lennox brand name, as they only have a handful of ARI certified systems back then.

For example Amana has 2048 listed AC systems, Goodman has 2344.

Site Changes

After check out you will now be able to print a receipt directly. You will still get an email copy as well.

On the products pages you can now sort the products alphabetically, by price, or by part number.

We’ve added federal express as a shipping option with tracking.

Order status now includes a copy of your receipt and the tracking number.

The backend work continues and we will be open fully very soon.

We have begun adding new products to the store, it should take at leaset a week to finish the database integration. Products will start to slowly come online as the data is inputed and checked.

Check back later this week for an update on what is going to happen on the site, and maybe a little insight into what happened last week. A lot of very exciting stuff is on the horizon now that we are not handcuffed by 1970s marketing models. We have always been about technology, not only in equipment, but in the new market.

Think of this…Where do you think the sales manager is right now that worked for the book publisher that refused to be a part of Amazon.com during its start? He/she is not in publishing any more. They may be able to get you a nice deal on an early 50s walk out ranch in your price range.

Face it world…The internet is here to stay, its not getting any smaller, ecommerce is growing exponentially while other sectors are falling apart. Its too late to put the toothpaste back in the tube on this one. All sorts of markets have been affected. I remember years ago when you wanted car insurance you went to the three brokers in your town, or if you wanted a new Chevy you went to the Chevy dealer in town. Today, you can have all of your pricing up front before you even call your local guy, and if he cannot deliver, you can always get it somewhere else. It’s a global economy we are always hearing…Well its also a global sales dynamic as well. Every single day, less and less people are getting their information and products from traditional means (yellow pages, newspaper, TV etc) and turning to the internet. Sure those markets still need to be served, however if a company refuses to serve the internet community, they will only be loosing share in the long term future.

Perhaps 10 years ago we would not have been able to predict the amount of online sales today. Hardly anyone would have believed how far its grown. Given the same question today, the smart company would have a hard time fathoming not doing business through the internet.

We are cutting edge. We are dynamic. We subscribe to new technology and push it daily not only in the engineering and design of HVAC systems but to the economic realities of today.

HVAC-Direct will be here strong in the future, with our continued aggressive growth. We’ve only had a 3,433% increase in traffic in the last 3 months I doubt if we can continue that rate, but the trend will be in the same direction.

Our product lines are growing, or technology is expanding. The database is being updated hourly, to a pace of over 40,000 pages right now (up from 19,000 1 week ago)

Changes to HVAC-Direct

We are going through some rather extensive changes right now. Instead of focusing on a single manufacturer we are going to bring you information on as many options as possible. This site will trully become the one stop for all items HVAC related.

This is an open call to other manufacturers to get their products listed. Unlike Yahoo Shopping, Froogle, or even E-bay our traffic is nearly 100% HVAC related, your products won’t get lost in the shuffle looking for “hAIR CONDITIONER”, “sHEATING”, or the other millions of items. Our visitors are looking for HVAC equipment and information because they are ready to buy!
